In Motion Fit is a fantastic program that emphasizes safety and fun as you train and get fitter to run a marathon or half marathon. I joined In Motion Fit seven years ago when I was an occasional runner. I am now a two-time Boston Marathon qualifier/finisher who has run about twenty half marathons. Much credit must be given to the nice and knowledgeable people at In Motion Fit, as well as the supportive running buddies there. I will be 63 in 2009. In Motion Fit provides an enjoyable and rewarding activity for everyone who participates including us “seniors.” |

The slogan "Change your life!" really applies to me. I started running eight years ago with In Motion Fit and have run 18 marathons in 12 states! (I'm working on all 50 states, and hope to complete a marathon when I'm 80!) I coach the Infrareds. I've read a lot about running and a I practice and teach Jeff Galloway's run-walk method. Now if somebody can just show me how to set my watch... Infraredders may be slow, but we have a lot of fun!

Jim Musgrove Having run cross country and track in school and being challenged to run a distance race with a friend I joined Fit in 2002. Through the years I have had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of great people and have made some great friends as well. Over the last 8 years I have run marathons and half marathons in four different states and participated in two multi day relays. If you stick with the program it will work for you too.

Jeff & Susie Glass Jeff - I have been a part of In Motion Fit since 1998, first as a marathon runner and now as a race walker. I've participated in 4 marathons (1 walking) and many half marathons. Getting into In Motion Fit training really can have a life-changing effect! Plus, being involved helped me meet some great new people and make some wonderful new friends. So, you can look forward to a challenging, great time by getting involved!
Susie - I have been a walker with In Motion Fit since 2000 and completed a marathon in 2001, after which I discovered the 1/2 marathon to be very beneficial and rewarding. Along with my husband, Jeff, I coach the 1/2 marathon purples. The benefits of committing and training together, while making new friends, are enormous.

Diana Ham
My name is Diana, and I coach the half marathon group. I've been coaching since 2002. My coaching psychology is to run for life, and what better way then to run with a group of your closest friends. When I'm not coaching I work on my art and write children's books.

Jodi Hays Hi, my name is Jodi Hays. I'm currently competing in the 40-44 age group. I started running about 27 years ago. In 1987 I finished my first (Jacksonville) marathon and went straight to Boston! I was hooked! Three kids and 18 marathons later, I've learned that my best marathon memories are those of the actual training! I'm excited to be part of that experience for each of you and look forward to helping you reach your goals!

I work at In Motion, Inc., helping to produce events such as the Carlsbad Marathon & Half Marathon and others. After running a number of half marathons and walking a few marathons, I decided to run my first marathon in Big Sur and it was an experience of a lifetime! Another great love of mine besides running is the sport of triathlon and I recently completed my first Ironman in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I'm so excited to be a part of In Motion Fit and am looking forward to helping others not only discover the joy of running, but also achieve their personal fitness goals!

Steve Batutis
My name is Steve Batutis. I have lived in north San Diego for 20 years. I have always enjoyed running. It's only been in the past few years that I decided to do long, organized runs. I did my first half marathon in 2004. I did pretty well, but knew I needed help if I wanted to run a full marathon. I joined In Motion Fit in 2005 to train for the Carlsbad Marathon. It was a great experience and I have been with the In Motion training programs ever since. The programs have helped keep me motivated and inspired, as I have aligned my personal goals with others in the groups. Each year, I have learned something new. I have now completed five marathons and I finish each with a smile. 2009 will be my first year as a coach. I am looking forward to working with others to achieve their goals. The goal setting has transferred to other areas of my life, in supassing self-imposed limitations. Thank you In Motion! I have also enjoyed the new friendships that I have cultivated in the In Motion training programs. |

Stan Diengott Running and fitness has always been an important part of my life. After high school and college soccer, I combined business with coaching high school baseball, and officiating professional tennis. The Mayor Daley (Chicago) Marathon in 1977 was the first of many Half Marathons & Marathons over the last 40 years. For a coach there’s no bigger reward than to have team members reach a goal or skill level that they weren’t sure they could reach when the program began. That’s what the In Motion Fit program is all about.
